. It measures 394 km2 in area and has around 40,000 inhabitants, but the Mafia district covers 424 km2.
Far from the hustle and bustle of its big sister Zanzibar, the Mafia archipelago, with its dozen islands and countless coral reefs, appeals to nature lovers. The beaches are wilder, smaller and sometimes covered in mangroves, but the idyllic sandy islets are an invitation to swim.
In the magnificent turquoise waters, the preserved seabed and the migration of whale sharks (in season) offer a prestigious spectacle.

Day 1: Arrive Arusha (Kilimanjaro International Airport JRO) and overnight in lodge
Day 2:
Morning departure from Arusha and visit to Tarangire National Park. Overnight in a lodge in Karatu
Days 3 and 4:
Visit Serengeti National Park, overnight in a tented camp inside the park.
Day 5:
Visit to the Ngorongoro Crater and overnight in Karatu
Day 6:
Return to Arusha and flight to Mafia. Transfer from Mafia airport to hotel
Days 7, 8 and 9:
Farniente on the beaches of Mafia, activities available at extra cost
Day 10:
Transfer from hotel to Mafia airport, flight to Dar es Salaam and return flight from Julius Nyerere DAR international airport.
