If you’re in a hurry and can’t devote enough time to climbing Kilimanjaro in its entirety, but still want to get up close and personal, the Tasemango Safari Adventures team offers you a one-day excursion to Kilimanjaro, using the Marangu route.
On this day’s hike, you’ll reach Mandara Hut camp, at an altitude of around 2,700 metres. The hike to this camp takes around 4-5 hours, through dense, lush forest.
The next day, you’ll continue your hike towards the second camp, Horombo Hut, located at an altitude of around 3,700 metres. The walk to Horombo Hut will take around 5-6 hours, across open plains offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Please note that this Kilimanjaro day hike option via the Marangu route will not allow you to reach the summit of the mountain. However, it offers a memorable experience, allowing you to discover the natural beauty and diversity of the mountains.
