The Marangu Route is one of the most popular routes for climbing Kilimanjaro. It’s also known as the “Coca-Cola way” because of its level of comfort and convenience.<\/p>\n

\n<\/span> Please note that this trip is an example and can be modified at any time! All our trips are 100% private and fully customizable. You can also combine them with a seaside holiday (Zanzibar or Mafia Island for diving). Tell us what you want and we’ll make it happen.<\/p>\n


\n Day 1<\/span>
\n<\/strong> Arrival in Moshi. Arrival in Moshi, a town at the foot of Kilimanjaro. Meeting with your guide and briefing on the ascent. Overnight at hotel.<\/p>\n


\n Day 2<\/span>
\n<\/strong> Marangu Gate (1860m) – Mandara Hut (2700m). Transfer by car to the Marangu entrance gate. Registration and administrative formalities. Start the hike through the rainforest to the Mandara hut. Walking time: 4-5 hours. Hut Overnight at La Mandara.<\/p>\n

Day 3<\/span> <\/strong>Mandara hut (2700m) – Horombo hut (3720m)
\nContinue through the rainforest to the heather zone. Passage through the Maundi Crater. Arrival at Horombo hut. Walking time: 6-7 hours. Overnight at the Horombo hut.<\/p>\n

Day 4<\/span> <\/strong>Horombo Hut (3720m) – Acclimatization at Zebra Rocks (4020m)
\nAcclimatization day at Horombo Hut. Hike to Zebra Rocks for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Return to Horombo Hut for the night. Walking time: 3-4 hours.<\/p>\n


\n Day 5<\/span>
\n<\/strong> Horombo Hut (3720m) – Kibo Hut (4700m) Continuation of the hike through the heather zone to Kibo Hut. Walking time: 6-7 hours. Overnight at the Kibo hut.<\/p>\n


\n Day 6<\/span>
\n<\/strong> Kibo Hut (4700m) – Uhuru Peak (5895m) – Horombo Hut (3720m). Morning departure for the final ascent to the summit of Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak. Descent to the Kibo Hut for breakfast. Continuation of the descent to the Horombo hut for the night. Walking time: 12-15 hours.<\/p>\n


\n Day 7<\/span>
\n<\/strong> Horombo Hut (3720m) – Marangu Gate (1860m) – Moshi. Descent to the Marangu entrance gate. Administrative formalities and check-in. Transfer by car to Moshi. Walking time: 5-6 hours. Overnight at hotel.<\/p>\n


\n Day 8<\/span>
\n<\/strong> Departure. Transfer to the airport for departure. It is important to note that walking times may vary according to individual fitness and weather conditions.<\/p>\n
